For me, culture and technology are inseparable. As an artist, I rely on my many years of experience in electronics, computers, video, audio, and networks to enable and guide me in the concepts and production of my work.


My skills include analog and digital electronics, printed circuit board design, and microcontroller programming in PIC assembly, C, and Basic.  I work with “physical computing” media such as sensors, motors, and robotics technology. I do high-level programming for media and control systems with Max/MSP/Pd, and motion tracking and live video processing with SoftVNS. I’m also experienced with video and sound production and professional post-production using Avid and Apple software. I know UNIX shell programming, and system and network administration. I’ve also taught most of the above to art college and university students. And I’m always learning too.
